Should you take reservations in chat?
Yes if they already book in DMs and miss them overnight. A slot list plus a ping is enough. Custom reservation software is a no. Host never holds a deposit.
Map real hours and breaks. Test one booking on your number.
Walk-ins still exist. The bot says so if the sheet says so.
Double-book is an owner problem if they ignore pings — same as ignoring WhatsApp, with a better log.
